Cancellation & Refund Policy Residential Agreement Cancellations Once a Residential Agreement (“Agreement”) has been signed, the resident must comply with the terms and conditions of that Agreement. As per terms of the Agreement, the resident is required to pay the rental due for the term of the Agreement. If the original resident wants to cancel their agreement and they or the Dayman Apartments and any of its agents finds a replacement resident to take over the balance of the Agreement, the original resident will no longer be required to comply with the terms of the Agreement. This will typically incur a cancellation administration fee of between 2 week’s rent plus a cleaning fee. International residents may also cancel an Agreement as part of the “No Visa, No Offer, No Pay” option. If residents are unable to secure an Australian Visa have been declined entry to their intended course of study or visiting in Australia, they can cancel their booking without charge if they provide supporting documents prior to their lease commencement date. If residents provide supporting documents after their lease commencement date, then the cancellation will incur a fee that includes the rent from the lease commencement date to the date that the supporting documents are processed, and the cancellation have been approved. Dayman Apartments will reserve the room for a minimum period of 7 days (or longer if both parties agree) to allow the customer to review and sign a residential Agreement and associated documentation. Upon signing the Residential Agreement, the deposit will go towards the licence fee payable under the agreement. The customer can only cancel the reservation for a full refund if the written letter of cancellation is set by email to the Dayman Apartments booking office (booking@daymanapartments.com.au) prior to the Agreement start date for the following reason: • The customer provides evidence that they have not been able secure an Australian Visa or they have been declined entry to their intended course of study in Australia. If the customer otherwise decides not to enter into the Residential Agreement the upfront deposit will not be refunded.
